3η θεματική ενότητα: Οροσειρά Ροδόπης: δύο χώρες, ένας στόχος
Η προστατευόμενη περιοχή της Οροσειράς Ροδόπης θεσμοθετήθηκε το 2002. Το 2009 χαρακτηρίστηκε ως Εθνικό Πάρκο. 7 περιοχές του Πάρκου εντάχθηκαν στο Πανευρωπαϊκό Δίκτυο Προστατευόμενων Περιοχών Natura 2000. Αρμόδιος για τη διαχείριση της περιοχής είναι η Μονάδα Διαχείρισης Οροσειράς Ροδόπης. Μια επίσκεψη στην έδρα του Φορέα στο Μεσοχώρι μπορεί να μας απαντήσει πολλές απορίες για το ρόλο και τη λειτουργία του.
Σκέφτομαι και συζητάω τί καλύτερο μπορεί να γίνει για την προστασία της φύσης και τη συνύπαρξή της με τους ανθρώπους και τις δραστηριότητες της περιοχής.

The protected area of the Rodopi Mountain Range was institutionally established in 2002. In 2009 it was designated as a National Park. Seven (7) areas of the National Park have been incorporated in the Pan-European Network of Protected Areas Natura 2000. The Rodopi Mountain Range Management Unit is responsible for the management of the area. A visit to its headquarters in Mesochori of the Municipality of Paranesti can answer many questions about its role and operation.
I think and discuss what is the best that can be done for the protection of nature and its coexistence with the people and the activities of the area.
