“The paths of the bear” – Tour and Events in the Prespa National Park Area on Saturday, May 17, 2025
A presentation of the thematic “bear trail,” created in the Prespa National Park area as part of the European LIFE ARCPROM project, will take place on the morning of Saturday, May 17, 2025. This guided tour is aimed at educators of all levels, with the goal of highlighting the trail’s educational value.
The trail was developed through the collaboration of the Prespa National Park & Western Macedonia Protected Areas Management Unit of NECCA and the environmental organization “Callisto,” as part of the European LIFE ARCPROM project. In total, four trails have been created across Greece and Italy. These accessible trails pass through areas of exceptional natural beauty inhabited by bears and are suitable for various interest groups, including students, adults, visitors, and professionals in education or other fields.
After the walk along the “bear trail,” an event will be held to present the educational materials developed as part of the LIFE ARCPROM project. These materials will be distributed to the participating educators.
On the same day, Saturday, May 17, 2025, an open event for the public will be held at 6:00 PM at “Hassos Tavern” (Mikrolimni, Prespa). During this event, the activities and results of the European LIFE ARCPROM project, which concludes in the coming months, will be presented.
