Successful open meeting with the local community in Lefkona Prespon
On Tuesday 23/7, the open meeting with the local community in Lefkona Prespon on the subject of “Fruit trees and their contribution to wildlife management” was successfully held, within the framework of the European LIFE ARCPROM program.
During the meeting organized by the Callisto Environmental Organization in collaboration with the Management Unit of the Prespa National Park and Protected Areas of Western Macedonia of OFYPEKA, biologist Dr. Nikos Nikisianis were presented by biologist Dr. Nikos Nikisiani the results of the Ecovariety project.
This was followed by a discussion with the local community at the center of which was the mapping of the abandoned fruit trees and old community orchards located in the area. Among others, the Mayor of Prespa George Stergiou attended the open meeting.
