“Participatory Processes in Mountainous Greece” – Online event in the framework of LIFE Arcprom

An online event on “Participatory Processes in Mountainous Greece: Lessons and Perspectives” within the European LIFE Arcprom program is organized by the Callisto Environmental Organization.
The event will take place on Wednesday, September 25, 2024, from 18:30 to 20:30 via the ZOOM platform.
Objectives of the meeting:
- Account of the operation of the Platforms for the Coexistence of Local Societies and the Bear in the National Parks of North Pindos, Prespa and the Rhodope Mountains.
- Evaluation of the open events and workshops organized in the three National Parks, with an emphasis on enhancing human-wildlife cooperation and coexistence.
- Presentation of the main results of the participatory processes implemented in the context of LIFE ARCPROM, with reference to practices used in Greece and Europe.
- Discussion on the sustainability of participatory processes, with an emphasis on new funding possibilities and the establishment of the National Platform for Large Carnivores.
