Εδώ και περίπου ένα μήνα μια νεαρή αρκούδα, κινείται πέριξ και εντός του ορεινού οικισμού του Μικρού Πάπιγκου στην περιοχή του Εθνικού Πάρκου Βόρειας Πίνδου. A male bear aged about 3-4 years old has been released by the LIFE ARCPROM Bear Emergency Team from an illegal wire-trap for wild boars in the lakeside area near Lefkonas, Prespa. LIFE ARCPROM

Il progetto LIFE ARCPROM (LIFE18 NAT / GR / 000768) mira a migliorare la convivenza uomo-orso in quattro Parchi Nazionali dell’Europa meridionale, tre in Grecia e uno in Italia. Il progetto, avviato nell'Ottobre 2019, avrà una durata di 5 anni. I partner del progetto sono quattro Parchi Nazionali (Prespa, Pindos settentrionale, Monti Rodopi in Grecia e Majella in Italia), due Università (Tessaglia e Macedonia occidentale) e due Organizzazioni Ambientaliste (Callisto e WWF Italia). Il progetto è cofinanziato per il 75% dal programma LIFE dell'UE, dal Fondo verde e dalle risorse proprie dei partner. Il budget totale è 2.786.497 €
